Charley Hull and Georgia Hall have secured their spot in the last 16 of the 2025 Sunningdale Foursomes after dominating their matches on Wednesday.
The LPGA Tour duo started strong with a 1-up victory over Ella and Daniel Butteriss on the Old Course in round one. However, their second and third rounds were far more comfortable. They defeated Ellie Gower and John Wilding 3&2 at Sunningdale’s New Course in the morning, then followed up with a commanding win over Brandon St. John and Chloe Ryan at the Old Course later in the day.
Momentum Building for Hull and Hall
After their impressive performance, Hall reflected on their success:
“We had a good day today and played much better than yesterday. Playing 36 holes isn’t something we do often anymore, except in the Solheim Cup, so it’s pretty exhausting—especially in the colder weather.”
Hall added that finishing their matches early gives them a chance to recharge before the next round. “We’ll head out for dinner tonight. You’d think we’d be sick of each other after playing all day, but we’re not!”
Hull and Hall will face Tom Shadbolt and Ben Evans in their fourth-round match on Thursday at 8:08 AM GMT. Shadbolt and Evans advanced with a 3&2 victory over Eliot Baker and Charlie Robb.
