Hull and Hall Cruise Into Sunningdale Foursomes Last 16

Charley Hull and Georgia Hall have secured their spot in the last 16 of the 2025 Sunningdale Foursomes after dominating their matches on Wednesday.

The LPGA Tour duo started strong with a 1-up victory over Ella and Daniel Butteriss on the Old Course in round one. However, their second and third rounds were far more comfortable. They defeated Ellie Gower and John Wilding 3&2 at Sunningdale’s New Course in the morning, then followed up with a commanding win over Brandon St. John and Chloe Ryan at the Old Course later in the day.

Momentum Building for Hull and Hall

After their impressive performance, Hall reflected on their success:

“We had a good day today and played much better than yesterday. Playing 36 holes isn’t something we do often anymore, except in the Solheim Cup, so it’s pretty exhausting—especially in the colder weather.”

Hall added that finishing their matches early gives them a chance to recharge before the next round. “We’ll head out for dinner tonight. You’d think we’d be sick of each other after playing all day, but we’re not!”

Hull and Hall will face Tom Shadbolt and Ben Evans in their fourth-round match on Thursday at 8:08 AM GMT. Shadbolt and Evans advanced with a 3&2 victory over Eliot Baker and Charlie Robb.

Other Notable Results

Elsewhere, Callum Shinkwin and Dan Brooks moved into the next round after a 3&2 win over Sam Bairstow and Kris Kim. The two-time DP World Tour winner and his partner will face Oliver Toyer and Sam Marshall at 8:48 AM GMT on Thursday.

Defending champions Harley Smith and Dylan Shaw-Radford also advanced with a convincing 5&4 win over Meg Rossouw and Alex Jacobs. Smith and Shaw-Radford are aiming to become the first back-to-back winners since 2004. They’ll meet Glen Portelli and James Jankowski in the next round.

Upcoming Fourth-Round Tee Times (GMT):

  • 8:00 AM – Glen Portelli & James Jankowski vs Harley Smith & Dylan Shaw-Radford
  • 8:08 AM – Charley Hull & Georgia Hall vs Tom Shadbolt & Ben Evans
  • 8:16 AM – Zoe McLean-Tattan & Patrick McLean-Tattan vs David Corben & Harry Crockett
  • 8:24 AM – Emily Slater & Andrew George vs Robert McGuirk & Liam Brown
  • 8:32 AM – Tomasz Anderson & Mark Laskey vs Hugh Foley & Jake Hapgood
  • 8:40 AM – Luke Harries & Oliver Lewis-Perkins vs Monty Holcombe & Oscar Lent
  • 8:48 AM – Callum Shinkwin & Dan Brooks vs Oliver Toyer & Sam Marshall
  • 8:56 AM – Angus Flanagan & Harry Walch vs Jake Antoun & Mark Trow

Hull and Hall’s strong form makes them the team to beat as the tournament heads into the final stages.
