Bryson DeChambeau Searching for New Golf Ball After Disappointment with Titleist Pro V1x – GolfWiken

Bryson DeChambeau has expressed dissatisfaction with the performance of his Titleist Pro V1x golf ball following his first round at LIV Golf Hong Kong. Despite his frustration, DeChambeau still posted a solid 4-under 66, putting him three shots behind his Crushers GC teammate, Paul Casey, who fired a remarkable 7-under 63.

In a candid post-round interview, DeChambeau explained that the Pro V1x was spinning too much, especially with his wedges. “It’s spinning too much with my wedges,” DeChambeau said. “If I try to hit a full shot, it will rip off the green. You saw that on 15; I hit a 95-yard shot downwind, and it ripped back 30 feet.”

DeChambeau is currently a free agent in the golf equipment world and uses a variety of clubs and products. He recently signed a deal with Reebok for apparel and footwear. Looking ahead, DeChambeau hopes to find a golf ball that offers a lower launch, controlled spin on full and half swings, and the right balance of spin for his game.

“I’m looking for a golf ball that launches a lot lower, has controlled spin on a full swing, and half swing still has spin,” he added. “So that’s what I’m searching for, and hopefully, I can find a ball that works for me.”
